Job Description:

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for achieving sales and/or profitability objectives, typically from new clients or accounts. AE’s will identify marketplace opportunities, prospect and engage new clients, assist on technical demonstrations, develop proposals, and manage the contract process. Generate new revenue by selling telecom brokerage products and MSP services as a business solution. Actively involved in the management, retention, and growth of current base of customers.   • Meets or exceeds assigned sales objectives and monthly revenue quotas by hunting to identify new business opportunities within a sales territory and target market segment of SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise corporate customers.
  • Understanding client goals, initiatives, challenges and relating these to NTConnections resources and solutions.
  • Establishing and maintaining executive level relationships.
  • Forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Consulting with clients on business issues and research design
  • Developing innovative proposals and delivering strategic sales presentations
  • Compliment prospecting and selling efforts through field work such as building walks, lobby events, property management relationships, and customer face to face meetings.
  • Gathers information on the prospect’s/customer’s business processes, critical success factors, and competitive standing through strategic and consultative sales approach to deliver value-added business solutions.
  • Acquires and integrates industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, and competitors.
  • Document all initial and on-going customer contacts within Salesforce.com.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Sales experience, specifically IT sales is a bonus.
  • Ability to develop and manage C-level relationships.
  • Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills at executive levels.
  • Demonstrated sales record of consistently meeting and exceeding quota
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment with revenue deadlines
  • Working knowledge of SalesForce.com
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the DC Metro Area
  • Cold Calling (or willingness to cold call) experience, required
  • A college degree is required or demonstrated and proven equivalent experience
